Purposes

To provide a talented workforce capable of academic religious research and religious group administration and management, our program has a curricular design to provide talents of religious studies to inspire the local community with their own rich religious cultures and to equip students with academic and management skills in the field of religions through both theoretical and practical courses.

 

Characteristics

Providing students with multiple developmental approaches through the following programs: the “Seven Modules Program”, two “Interdepartmental Credit Programs” and three “Licensing and Certification Instruction Programs”.

Partnerships with government units, religious organizations, foundations, funeral undertakers, and community colleges for student internships.

For advanced studies, students can apply to the master’s program of this department, or to postgraduate courses at other colleges related to History, Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, or Ethnology.

 

Prospects for the Future

Future careers:

Civil servant of religious administration, cultural administration, or general administration; religious organization administration; NGO worker, planner or docent of religious, cultural, and art events; funeral services; the staff of a funeral undertaker; funeral director; or culture office worker.

Further education:

Our graduates are prepared for further study in the Master’s program of this department or postgraduate courses at other colleges related to History, Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, or Ethnology.
